US blames India, China for soaring Oil Prices

Days after US President George Bush blamed India for global food crisis, the United States attributed the surge in oil prices to the increased demand in developing countries such as India and China. The latest statement was made by White House Deputy Spokesman Scott Stanzel.

The crude oil price has already touched $120 per barrel, fuelling a economic crisis in the United States. Scott Stanzel stressed that it was important for the United States to become less dependent on foreign sources of energy and develop its own oil refineries on a large scale.
