US Study: Americans eat five times more than Indians

While the insane US President George Bush blamed Indians for the global food crisis, a US study revealed that Americans eat five times more than Indians. The report was released by the US Department of Agriculture for 2007. Total food grain consumption (including wheat, rice, barley etc) by each person in the USA is over five times that of an Indian.

While each Indian gets 178 kg of food grain in a year, an American gets 1.046 kg in a year. Each person from the EU gets 552 kg grain in a year, while a Chinese gets 291 kg per year. A US citizen gets 78 litre milk in years, while an Indian gets only 36 litre. While a US citizen consumes 41 litre vegetable oil in a year, an Indian gets only 18 litre per year.

Americans head the table in the consumption of Beef, Poultry and Pork. A US citizen eats 45.4 kg poultry per year. On the contrary, an Indian gets only 1.9 kg poultry per year. In Beef and Pork consumptions, American are way ahead of the Indians (even not comparable).

While George Bush makes false claims before his electorate, his own government study says something else. Now Mr. Bush must answer who is to blame for the global food crisis? Americans or Indians? Before letting his tongue talk, he must take a look at the statistics. Indians don't even require an apology from this insane person.
