Vasundhara Raje talks tough, as Gujjar Agitation intensfies

Rajasthan is sitting on a volcano that is expected to burst anytime now. The death toll in Gujjar agitation has already crossed the 40-mark. However, the Gujjars are not relenting. One man who is blamed of creating divide in the society is Col. Bainsla. He is spearheading the violent agitation.

After failing to persuade Bainsla to come for a talk to a village in Bharatpur, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje is talking tough now. She has vowed to end the agitation by force if required. Bainsla is adamant in his demand that CM should come to the railway track to hold talks with him, which is not possible for a CM due to security and other reasons.

According to latest reports, the army has moved closer to Kherawadi, where Bainsala is camping. They seem to have launched an operation to arrest Bainsla and end the agitation. All mobile phone networks have been jammed by the government in and around Bharatpur. All news channels have been taken off the air as a strategic move. The CM has called an emergency meeting of the high profile officials to take a strong action against the agitating Gujjars.

Meanwhile, the Gujjar agitation has spread to Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon and other parts of the country. SP leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and Amar Singh, who were on their way to meet the Gujjar leaders, were detained. Dausa MP Sachin Pilot has been prevented from entering Dausa, which is the epicentre of Gujjar agitation.
