Breaking News! Mohd. Asif gets Clean Chit in Drugs Possession case in Dubai

Breaking News! Pakistani speedster Mohammad Asif got a clean chit from the UAE authorities in the drugs possession case. It was confirmed by Pakistan Ambassador to UAE. According to him, all charges against Asif have been dropped and he will be released soon. Asif was earlier arrested by Dubai police at the Airport for the possession of 1 gm Opium. He was later produced in a Dubai Court.

Asif had claimed innocence and said he did not possess drugs, but an Ayurvedic medicine, 'Shilajit'. The PCB had sent its official Nadeem Akram to assist Asif to resolve the issue. The PCB sources said that Asif was detained because of a misunderstanding. It is learnt that diplomatic efforts facilitated Asif's release.
