Monsoon arrives in Delhi, Earliest in 108 Years

Defying all speculations and apprehensions, Monsoon arrived Delhi much earlier than expected. The Met department confirmed the arrival of Monsoon in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab. This is the earliest arrival of Monsoon in Delhi in the last 108 years. The normal date for the arrival of Monsoon in Delhi was June 29.

Unlike other parts of the country, people in Delhi did not experience unprecedented heat wave conditions this year. The latest developments could be attributed to a climatic change in and around Delhi and also the anti-pollution measures taken in the capital city.
