UPA Allies step in to save the Government, Left adamant

Even as the UPA allies stepped in to save the government from a collapse, the Left parties remained adamant on the Indo-US nuclear deal. Senior UPA leaders, Sharad Pawar, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Ram Vilas Paswan met Sonia Gandhi yesterday and expressed home that government won't collapse and last its full term. Later, the UPA partners held separate talks with Left leaders Prakash Karat, Sitaram Yechury and A B Bardhan.

According to the latest reports, the UPA allies have come up with a formula that will help both parties. However, the Left is adamant on this issue and does not want to give in an inch on Indo-US nuclear deal. Several rounds of talks may take place between UPA, Left and the Congress before a final decision is taken.
