West Bengal, Maharashtra cut Sales Tax in Petrol, Diesel
Petrol and Diesel will still remain cheaper in West Bengal and Maharashtra as compared to other states, as both governments announces a cut in sales tax on petrol and diesel. The West Bengal government has announced a 5 percent cut in sale tax on petrol and diesel. The Maharasthra government too went for a 4 percent cut.
While petrol and diesel prices will be up by Rs. 5 and Rs. 3 respectively in other parts of the country, they will be costlier by just Rs. 3 and Rs. 1.6 respectively in West Bengal.
