Abdul Halim sent to 14-day poilce custody, Fresh Leads found in Ahmedabad Serial Blasts

Abdul Halim, who was arrested in connection with the serial blasts in Ahemdabad, which claimed over 50 lives, has been sent to police custody till August 10. According to police sources, Abdul Halim is a former member of SIMI. The explosives-laden Wagon R cars, which were recovered in Surat, were stolen from Navi Mumbai. Also, the cycles used in the blasts were rented, not purchases. The police is looking for people who helped the terrorists to rent the cars.

It is believed that SIMI has changed its name and has come up with a new name called 'Indian Mujahideen'. It was confirmed by the Karnataka Home Minister and DGP. Abdul Halim, who was arrested by the police, was also wanted in connection with Godhra Riots.
