Brajesh Pathak: CBI intimidating BSP MPs to vote for the Government

In a sensational revelation on the floor of the house, BSP MP Brajesh Pathak has alleged that CBI is being used to intimidate their party members to vote in favour of the government. Mr. Pathak alleged that a CBI officer came to him with some relevant documents and threatened that if they don't vote for the government, their leader Mayawati would be put behind the bars and BSP MPs would face dire consequences. The CBI officer reportedly assured Mr. Pathak that Mayawati would be given a clean chit if she and her MPs support the government.

The issue created an uproar in Lok Sabha with both ruling and opposition parties shouting against each others. The Speaker had a tough time to control the MPs. He received the documents from Mr. Brajesh Pathak and assured appropriate action. He said that he would send the documents to the Home Minister for further investigation. He even asked the Home Minister to provide adequate security to BSP MPs if required.
