Inflation climbs to 11.89%

Even as the government is fighting for its survival by roping in smaller parties, it has nothing to cheer on the economic front. The inflation continued its upward trend by reaching 11.89% during the week ending June 28. The rise in inflation has been attributed to the rise in food, vegetables and metal prices. According to the Finance Ministry, the inflation will continue to rise further, although at a slow pace.
