PM Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi visit Ahmedabad

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi visited terror-hit Ahmedabad today and met the injured in hospitals. They also interacted with people, who lost their kins in the serial bomb blasts. Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil also visited Ahmedabad.

PM Dr. Manmohan Singh condemned the blasts in strongest words and praised people of Gujarat for showing resilience. He was accompanied by Gujarat CM Narendra Modi. The PM has increased the compensation amount. He announced a compensation of Rs. 3.5 lakh for the kins of each dead and Rs. 50,000 each for the injured.
