PM Manmohan Singh meets US President George Bush

Unfazed by the political activities back home, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh held bilateral talks with US President George Bush during the G8 summit in Japan. Both Manmohan and Bush stressed on the need for bilateral cooperation between India and the US to move forward.

Dr. Manmohan Singh expressed gratitude to Bush for his efforts to bring India and the US to a common platform. Both leaders backed the Indo-US nuclear deal and expressed confidence that it would soon become a reality. Other issues like terrorism, trade and industry also figured on the talk between these leaders. US President George Bush hailed Manmohan Singh's strong leadership and his efforts in favour of Indo-US nuclear deal.
