United Nations condemn Serial Bomb Blasts in India
The UN Secretary General Ban ki-Moon condemned the recent serial bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad that claimed more than 50 lives and injured over 200 people. "No cause or grievance can justify terrorist acts of this kind", he said. He also assured people of India every possible help in their fight against terrorism.Ban sent his deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and the Indian government. The US also condemned the blasts and sent condolence messages to the families of the victims. White House National Security Council spokesperson Gordon Johndroe said, "We stand with the Indian people as they continue to confront terrorism". Both UN and US appealed for calm and restraint in the wake of such provocation.
