UPA Government wins Trust Vote, gets support of 275 MPs

Breaking News! The long wait is finally over. The UPA Government won the most controversial trust vote in Indian Parliamentary history. In total, 275 MPs voted in favour of the government, while 256 MPs votes against it. Ten MPs abstained from voting either because of health or personal reasons. It was clear that there was large-scale cross voting in favour of the government.

PM Dr. Manmohan Singh looked relaxed, hugged his cabinet colleagues and accepted congratulatory messages from party leaders. There were wild celebrations outside 10 Janpath and other party headquarters across the country, when the government's victory was confirmed. While the UPA allies rejoiced, the opposition parties accused the government of winning by resorting to horse trading, bribing and poaching.

After wining the trust vote, PM Dr. Manmohan Singh lashed out at BJP leader L K Advani and Left parties. Dr. Singh alleged that Advani has tried to topple his government thrice. He also said that Advani's astrologers have misled him. "Advani should change his astrologer for India's sake", added the PM. The PM asked Advani to go for an introspection. He accused Left of treating him as their bonded slave. "Left never allowed me to work properly", he alleged.
