Money pours in for Abhinav Bindra after Golden Feat at Beijing Olympics

While a proud nation is still recovering from the surprise, ecstasy and excitement that was given by Abhinav Bindra when he won the first ever individual Olympic gold medal for India, rewards are pouring in for him from all quarters. Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh has announced a cash reward of Rs. 10 lakh for Bindra. Haryana CM Bhupinder Hooda announced a cash reward of Rs. 25 lakh for the shooter who made the country proud.

Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced a cash reward of Rs. 5 lakh for Abhinav Bindra. Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav announced that Abhinav Bindra will get a 'lifetime golden pass' from the Railways. A "lifetime golden pass", he will be able to avail first class train travel at free of cost for the rest of his life.

According to latest updates, the Punjab government will give Rs. 1 crore to Abhinav Bindra for his marvelous feat. Chandigarh administration also announced a cash reward of Rs. 5 lakh to Bindra. The Bihar government has announced a cash reward of Rs. 11 lakh for him. Bihar Government will also name a sports complex after Bindra. Indian Cricket Board BCCI has also announced a cash reward of Rs. 25 lakh for Abhinav Bindra. The Tamil Nadu and Orissa governments will give Rs. 5 lakhs each to Abhinav Bindra. Chattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh has announced Rs one lakh for Bindra.
