Hurriyat gets PDP support for LoC March, Mirwaiz Farooq put under house arrest

Breaking News! The Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) led by Mehbooba Mufti has crossed all limits by supporting the call given by Hurriyat Conference to cross LoC and march towards Muzaffarabad with the trucks laden with goods to defy the economic blocade of Kashmir by people of Jammu. The Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who was scheduled to lead the orchard traders from Kashmir to Muzaffarabad (PoK) was put under house arrest on Sunday.

Mehbooba Mufti said her party would support the orchard traders in their march towards Muzaffarabad. Ironically, Mufti was instrumental in bringing down the Congress government in Jammu and Kashmir, but still remains a "strong" ally in the UPA government. Mehbooba Mufti argued that if trade can be made via Wagha border, then why not via Muzaffarabad? The Army is expected to take a tough stand to prevent any violation of the LoC from Indian side.
