India at Bejing Olympics: Latest Update (Day 5)
On a disappointing day for India at Beijing Olympics, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi brought cheer to the Indian camp by cruising to the quarterfinals of men's doubles tennis. Paes and Bhupathi beat Brazilian pair of Andre Sa and Marcelo Melo 6-4, 6-2. In quarterfinal, they will meet the winner of the match between the Swiss pair Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka and the Russian duo Dmitry Tursunov and Mikhail Youzhny.Earlier, India's medal hope Saina Nehwal crashed out of the Beijing Olympics after losing to Maria Kristin Yulianti in three sets. Archer Mangal Singh Champia lost by a narrow one point in the pre-quarterfinal. Here's the latest results from Indian point of view:

1) Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi reached the quarterfinals of men's doubles tennis.
Bad News:
1) Saina Nehwal crashed out of the Badminton singles event. Saina lost to World No. 16 Maria Yulianti 28-26, 14-21, 15-21 in a exciting quarterfinal match.
2) Indian Archer Mangal Singh Champia crashed out of Beijing Olympics. Champia lost to B Badenov of Russia in the men's individual archery pre-quarterfinals.
3) Rower Bajrang Lal Takhar crashed out in the semifinals of men's single sculls event. He finished fifth.
