Michael Phelps creates history, wins 5th Gold at Beijing

Michael Phelps of the United States created history by winning the most number of gold medals in Olympics Games history. Phelps won two more gold medals at Beijing today to take the number to five at Beijing and 11 overall. Phelps beat Mark Spitz's record of 9 Olympics Gold medals. Michael Phelps, who became the most successful athlete ever, has already broken two world records at Beijing Olympics 2008.

Michael Phelps is on the verge of creating history. If he wins three more gold medals, he will break the record of 7 gold medals in an Olympic Games. Currently, the world record is shared by Mark Spitz (USA), Carl Lewis (USA), Larissa Latynina (USSR) and Paavo Nurmi (Finland).

I really think he'll make history this Olympics, although he's pretty much already done it already.
When he got to the halfway point in his quest, I wrote a song about it.
