Natwar Singh joins BSP

Former Congress leader and former External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh formally joined the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) with two former SP leaders Shahid Siddiqui and SP Singh Baghel. They joined BSP in the presence of UP CM Mayawati at a massive rally in Lucknow.

Siddiqui and Baghel have been appointed as national general secretaries. Natwar Singh, who had been with Congress since Indira Gandhi's days, fell out with the party after his name cropped up in the "oil-for-food" scam.
