Revolt in Uttarakhand BJP: Bhagat Singh Koshiyari leads the Rebels
Breaking News! The Uttarakhand state unit of BJP has plunged into deep trouble, as 27 out of 36 party MLAs turned against Chief Minister BC Khanduri. The rebels MLAs led by state BJP chief and former CM Bhagat Singh Koshiyari reached Delhi to meet BJP president Rajnath Singh. While the party is preparing for the parilamentary elections due in February 2009, the revolt within its Uttarakhand rank came as a big shock and surprise for it. Koshiyari was seen as a strong contender for the CM's post after the assembly elections in Uttarakhand last year. However, the party high command chose BC Khanduri as the Chief Minister, which caused disconent within the state BJP.
