5 Indian Mujahideen terrorists arrested in Mumbai
Breaking News! The Mumbai Police claimed that they foiled a major terror attack in the heart of the city with the arrest of five Indian Mujahideen terrorists. According to Mumbai police, the arrested terrorists were in all bomb blasts in the country including the Mumbai train blasts in 2006. The suspected terrorists were also involved in Sankatmochan temple blast in Varanasi, blasts in Lucknow and Faizabad and many other places including Hyderbad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Delhi.Rakesh Maria, Joint Commissioner of Mumbai Police addressed a press conference and said that arrested militants have confessed to their involvement in the recent bomb blasts. The arrested militants were Mohammad Sadiq Sheikh, Ahmed Sheikh, Arif Badr Sheikh, Mohammad Afzal Usmani and Mohammad Zakiri. All five accused belong to Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh.
The Mumbai police said that arrested terrorists got training in Pakistan and they were in close contact with Lashkar-e-Toiba and Harkat-ul-Jihad-al Islami (HuJI). They reportedly received blast materials from Karnataka. All five terrorists were members of banned outfit SIMI, but later they formed a group called Indian Mujahideen.
