The Big Presidential Debate begins; Obama, McCain share the Stage

Breaking News! The Big Presidential Debate began at the University of Mississippi today with Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama sharing the stage for the first time. There will be three presidential debates and it was the first one in the series. The debate between 47-year-old Barack Obama, a black and 72-year-old John McCain, a white man generated the biggest ever curiosity across the globe.

While McCain continued to rap the policies of Barack Obama, Obama hit back by calling McCain an extension of George W. Bush. When McCain accused Obama of compiling "the most liberal voting record in the US Senate", Obama shot back saying, "Mostly that's just me opposing George Bush's wrong-headed policies."

Obama took on Bush and McCain on Iraq War and termed it responsible for the financial crisis in the US. He also said that Iraq War lowered the dignity and reliability of America on global arena. However, McCain maintained that troop buildup in Iraq was a great success. He also accused Obama of promising not to vote to cut off funding to the troops and vote against the funding later.

Obama slammed McCain's tax proposals and accused him of being desperate to give another $4 billion in tax breaks to oil companies. McCain hit back saying Obama already offered that to the oil companies.
