Fake Currencies recovered from Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC), Ghaziabad
Breaking News! Another fake currency racket surfaced in Uttar Pradesh. In a shocking development, the RBI on Thursday, recovered fake curency notes worth Rs. 149,100 from the currency chest of the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Ramesh Prakash, Chief Manager of OBC, lodged a complaint against the entire staff of the bank branch at the Kavi Nagar police station.According to reports, 34 fake notes of Rs. 1000, 230 notes of Rs. 500 and one note of Rs. 100 denomination were found in the bank. A complaint has been lodged against 33 bank officials. The police have raided 32 OBC branches in Ghaziabad, Delhi, Meerut and Noida in connection with the fake currency racket.
