Rahul Gandhi: "POTA is a Failed Law"

Breaking News! Congress MP Rahul Gandhi sparked off a new controversy by claiming that POTA was a failed law. Ironically, he acknowledged that India needs a stringent law to combat terror, but rejected POTA outright, as it was brought by previous NDA regime. He even went on to ridicule BJP's demand for reviving POTA saying it was a "failed law" cited examples of Kandahar hijack and the attack on Parliament to justify his claim.

Rahul Gandhi made this remark in Jalandhar during his two-day Punjab visit. He also dismissed speculations on the possibility of becoming the Prime Minister and said Dr. Manmohan Singh is the right candidate for this job and he has been doing a commendable job.
