According to agreement signed by Mamata Banerjee and Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, a committee will be set up, which will decide the compensation package given to the farmers in Singur. No work will be held in ancillary unit for a week. The government has assured that it will look into farmers' demands.

The West Bengal government will give land to farmers who haven't received any compensation. The government has said it would try to give maximum land in the project area. Rest of the land will be given outside the project area. According to sourcesd, Mamata wants at least 300 acres of land in the project area. While the West Bengal government has expressed satisfaction over the outcome, Mamata Banerjee termed it as a major victory and left for Singur to formally call off her agitation against Tata Nano project.
