Taro Aso elected as Japan's new Prime Minister
Breaking News! Taro Aso has been elected as Japan's new Prime Minister. He was elected by the lower house of Japan's Parliament - the Diet. Taro will succeed Yasuo Fukuda, who resigned earlier this month. Taro Aso's nomination as Prime Minister will be a formality in the upper house. Taro Aso belongs to ruling Liberal Democratic Party and also served as country's foreign minister.
