LTTE attacks Power Plant in Colombo

Breaking News! In a daring attack, the rebel LTTE attacked a power plant in Colombo using a bomber aircraft. LTTE's attack came in the wake of government claim that they have breached the rebel group's last defence.

The LTTE also raided an Army camp in the Sri Lankan capital, injuring one soldier. The attack on Kelanitissa power station, left one person dead and another injured. The city remained without power for several hours because of the strike on the power station. Even as anti-aircraft guns were activated by the Sri Lankan Army immediately, the LTTE aircraft had already left the area after dropping the bombs.
