Serial Blasts rock Guwahati and Upper Assam, 50 killed
Breaking News! (October 30). Five serial bomb blasts rocked Guwahati, the most important city of Assam, a few minutes ago. The blasts reportedly occurred at Ganeshguri Flyover, Fancy Bazar, Dispur Road and Pan Bazar. According to latest reports, five more blasts occurred in Barpeta, Kokrajhar and Bongaigaon in upper Assam. Some sources put the number of blasts across Assam at 11.
Several injuries have been reported. The police have cordoned off the areas and injured have been rushed to the hospitals. Forensic experts and bomb disposal squads have been rushed to blast sites. The blasts occurred in crowded market places, caused serious damage. At least 50 people were killed in the blasts and over 120 have been injured. No organization has taken responsibility for the attack, but ULFA's involvement is suspected. Further details are awaited.

I am sick tired of this Blast phenomenon that has suddenly so much gripped our country.
I at times wonder what is so wrong with our country and its people..
To add to that blast occuring in Northeastern states are often treated by the Centre as if the matter concerned is that of a step child.
When will everyone wake up??
When will the educated take steps to do something ab't it rather then being busy securing their lives..GOD HELP OUR COUNTRY
This is indeed a never ending story. It is this phrase "the more measures taken to curtail blasts, more blasts takes place. As it is the economy is bad and added to this these untoward incidents that occurs so feqeutnly. What is the government doing? Just consoling people - DON'T WORRY EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL - DON'T PANIC. Rs. XXXX to the injured and Rs.YYYY to the next of kin. Who is suffering? The poor innocent people not the culprits who really deserve this treatment.
WAKE UP FOLKS - stop all false promises and do something about it seriously.
Will there be an end to this ever ? will ever our so called respected Govt will wake up ? and instead of playing power game , pay attention to the responsibilities they have along wioth thire power

This is only beacause of failure of Government. Our CM Hahiram Gogoi. He is very much in efficient. He can not cotrol Home Dept. Otherwise so many intelligence dept what they are doing ?

Indeed the north eastern states are suffering in the hands of terrorist in one hand and step motherly treatment from govt. of India on other hand. See how much drama was there in all the news channels when some minor blast took place in Bangalore and see how they report the bomb blast in tripura, manipur and assam.

The problem with identifying the persons involved and preventing the recurrence lies with the active participation of the mass people with the law enforcing agencies. but inspite of programmes for bringing the general people closer to the said agencies, the atitude of the law enforcing agencies towards the common people has derailed the entire scheme and the mass people has been alienated from involvement in these issues. Therfore a better face of the law enforcing agencies is reqired to avert these situations in the future. Gautam Chaudhury, Guwahati.
Hey Jehadis what kind of fear you have. I don't think so that you have balls to kill the Persons who causes you the problem. I don't think so that even a single person you have killed in your blasts is known to you. So stop killing these innosent people who don't have any connection with you and your Jehad.
