Maharashtra CM announces Compensation for Martyr Policemen

Breaking News! Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh held a press conference to announce that Mumbai is free of terrorists now. He also announced a comprehensive compensation package for the policemen, who laid down their lives while fighting the terrorists. CM Vilasrao Deshmukh and Dy. CM RR Patil condoled the death of all people died in the attack and hailed the bravery shown by Policemen, Army, Marine Commandos and NSG Commandos.

According to Mr. Deshmukh, family members of all martyr policemen will be provided houses. In addition, one member of each bereaved family will get a job. The martyrs' family will get the complete salary, which the dead policemen were supposed to get till retirement. Each bereaved family will get a compensation package of Rs. 25 lakh.

The Maharashtra CM confirmed that there were 10 terrorists; our of them 9 were gunned down and one was caught alive. 14 policemen and two NSG commandos were killed in the operations. Four terrorists were inside the Taj, while other terrorists had formed a group of two each. They had satellite phone, blackberry mobile phones and GPS in addition to the sophisticated weapons.

Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh gave a detailed report of dead and injured. In total, 162 people were dead and 294 were injured. He also confirmed that 18 foreign nationals were killed, while 23 are injured. The Maharashtra CM also said that Maharashtra will have a NSG-like body soon. The winter session of Maharashtra Assembly will begin on Dec 11 instead of Dec 1.
