Mumbai Terror Attack: 8 Foreign Nationals killed, 22 injured

Breaking News! ML Kumawat, Special Secretary (Internal Security), Union Home Ministry, held a press conference and briefed the media about the number of casualties and injured foreign nationals. According to Kumawat, 8 foreign nationals were killed, while 22 others were injured in the firing by terrorists.

Among the 8 foreign nationals killed, 3 were Germans, one was from Japan, one was a Canadian national and one was from Australia. Identity of two people could not be established. Among the injured, 3 were from Germany, 5 from UK, 2 each from the USA and Oman and one each from Canada, Norway, Spain, Finland, Philippines, Australia, Italy and China. Identity of two injured could not be established. Reports from France said that two French nationals were killed in Mumbai attack.

According to Kumawat, currently 477 NSG commandos are present in Mumbai. NSG Major S Unnikrishnan was killed during the encounter at Taj Hotel. Another NSG commando Havaldar Chander was killed during the encounter at Nariman House. 5-6 terrorists are reportedly holed up inside the Taj Hotel.

During the encounter, Chinese Grenades, AK-47 Rifles and Pistols were recovered from the 8th floor of Trident Oberoi. 3 by-standers including one AFP Cameraman and an Indian reporter were injured near Taj a few moments ago. (Content Copyright: Breaking News Online).
