Pandit Bhimsen Joshi receives Bharat Ratna

Breaking News! Hindustani Classical Music singer Pandit Bhimsen Joshi will receive Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honour of the country. Pandit Bhimsen Joshi (86) is a vocalist from the 'kirana gharana'. He is staying in Pune.

Pt. Bhimsen Johsi started his music career at the age of 19. He won Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Maharashtra Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan earlier. He also won Tansen Award (Madhya Pradesh) and Karnataka Ratna.
