Terrorists strike Mumbai; Taj, Oberoi, CST Railway Station attacked
Breaking News! Terrorists or criminals struck Mumbai. In a major terror attack this night, terrorists resorted to firing and bombing at several places in Mumbai. Firing has been reported from Oberoi Hotel, VT Railway Station, Hotel Taj, CST Railway Station, Capital Cinema Hall, Leopold Cafe, Cama Hospital, Colaba Market and several other places. Two terrorists are still holed up inside the Oberoi Hotel. The police have surrounded the hotel.The firing has continued for over one hour now. It started just at 9.50 PM. Terrorists are reportedly using AK-47, hand grenades and pistols to attack the people. At least 25 people are reportedly injured in firing. High alert has been issued across Mumbai. The security personnel have been rushed to all locations where firing have been reported. A series of blasts were reported from Nariman Point, Grant Road and Ville Parle. None of the places are safe …. We cannot rely on security personnel in Mumbai anymore, apparently whatever measures they have adapted to prevent such mishaps are of no use … !!!

Terrorists strike everywhere in India. But Congress, UPA and Mumbai ATS is trying to prove that there is a 'Hindu Terrorism'in the country. Maharashtra government and Congress are responsible for rising terror activities in the country.

I agree with Rajiv, Rama and Sarat that if any supporters in india are there for these terrorist which may include all the colors of RSS, BJP who are supporting the terrorist be FIRST HANGED till DEATH. We all know that these politician (congress, bjp, communist, etc.) are the real patrons of these Terrorist. First they allow police, military to create havoc on the innocent's life so that terrorists are BORN and then spend crores of rupees to catch and kill them. May be you wont be happy to hear that Afjal Guru will be hanged in January 2009. That is what our great government has decided as of now. Maybe you doubt BJP (or other parties supporting true indians), but what is your stand point about internal terrorist groups like SIMI and Indian Mujahiddin? Are they created or supported by BJP? Congress is playing politics with the point of Hindu Terrorists and troubling innocent people. Those people are true HINDUSTANI. What Congress is going to do with those dozen of idiot guys caught in Delhi after Delhi/Bangalore/Ahmedabad blasts? Why not politics using their names (i.e. Islamic Terrorism). Infact few of the congress supporting parties are openly giving so much money to those idiot guys to fight a case in the court.
Need to forget about the politics and politics this time, Our country needs a change in sytem; its corrupted it need to be polished with some constitutional changes or other alternative would be a military rule bypassing - democratic rule. Military rule should be implemented to make the terrorists feel the terror and think before thinking over doing any activities against and disturbing peace in the country.
Rather than having discussions and giving judgements, need to think the best ways in sorting the problem out.

I am not completely agreed with you. Military solution is not the best possible solution of terrorism. I like the statement of Mr. Imran Khan (former cricket player of Pakistan cricket team) he made during his last visit to India (Mumbai) that, Military actions is a solution of a war. The best possible solution of terrorism can not be the military solution but it is the political solution. What military is going to do? Terrorist are not an army with uniforms and flags. It is very hard to isolate them from normal public. They are in the society somewhere and not on the border. Politicians can find a solution by proper coordination between different parties, by discussions, with strict rules, laws, regulations and orders. But they don’t want to do that for their own benefits. They have already lost the faith of a common man in India.
Someone said in this forum that we should follow the example of Punjab. How terrorism was removed in Punjab? If we follow that path then it can be military solution but it is very tricky and risky. You just shoot someone on doubt. Don’t spare someone even if you have doubt that he/she is a terrorist or supporting terrorist (especially financially or with arms and animations). It may take some innocent lives but it will create a fear within each terrorist and their supporters. It is not the best but I guess it is the only solution we have now.

I am sooo sad to hear about this and this event has changed the way I look at religion. Being a moderate Hindu I was all for dialogue and peaceful co-existence with the muslims. But now I have changed, all the cutlets should hanged. I feel like joining a hindu militant group to wreck havoc on the muslims. An eye for an eye and I dont care if the whole world goes blind. I dont wanna be blind first, might as well make the enemies blind. I don't think Islam is a peaceful religion. As per my view there should not be any special protection to any politicians.We are wasting hell lot of security force there. Then they will atleast try to understand the situation,and instead giving comments they might take necessary action. Govt is not even bothered to take the preventive measures, its only reacting after the incident takes place.. why can't they tighten the securities everywhere in India. when US govt can do this ??

It is more a question of accountability and coordination.. It took them 24 long hours to get the marine commandos to the spot.. After having heard so many views and reviews, i am infuriated, i know it doesn't help ...Anger has to be channelized, we got to be calm and think of ways to curb this terror. They were 20 year olds who were maniacal in all they did! why? what led them to doing all this! Our politicans can only sleep peacefully over matters. i will not vote for any one. The politicians in our country are plain sick! So are the news channels that are cajoling people into sending text messages which they'll count and flash on our TV screens. This is ludicrous.
