Bomb Scare in Pune, turns out to be "Hoax"

Breaking News! The cops in Pune had a tough time today, after a fax message threatened to blast 40 bombs across the city. The fax, received at 12.30 PM, said that blasts in Pune will be carried out at 2.30 PM. It also said that blasts will occur near or in banks, station and colleges.

The Pune Police swung into action by conducting search operations across the city. The cops had to search railway stations, shopping malls, bus stops, banks, colleges, hotels and many other important buildings in Pune. The fax, which later turned out to be a hoax, was traced to Yuvraj General Stores, a small shop located in Ganesh Peth, Pune. The Pune Police has launched a massive manhunt to nab the culprit, who sent that fax.
