Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi's "lipstick" remark creates furore
Breaking News! If the "small incident" remark made by former Maharashtra Dy. CM RR Patil was not enough, BJP's national Vice President, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi goofed up while talking to the media, which led to a public outrage in Mumbai and other parts of India.BJP, which expected a clear swing of popular votes in its favour, was probably shocked to see the people in the country have turned against all politicians irrespective of their party affiliations. That was the reason why Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi slammed some women in Mumbai who were holding protests against the politicians and shouting slogans like "politicians murdabad".
"They should say "pakistan murdabad", not "politicians murdabad". Who is instigating these women groups to hold such protests? Why do some women, wearing lipsticks and powders are protesting against the politicians on the streets of Mumbai", asked Naqvi. "There is a clear attempt to divide the country and break the trust of people in India's democratic fabrics. That's why such protests against politicians are taking place. These women are following western values, and lighting candles while condemning the politicians", he further added.
The electronic media, some Hindi news channels in particular, flashed Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi 's comments throughout the day, which caused a public outrage. Hundreds of people were seen sending SMSes to TV channels, condemning Naqvi's remarks and questioning BJP's stand on this issue.
The Congress Party, which was on the back foot over the issue of terrorism, slammed Naqvi for such "irresponsible" remarks, saying politicians should respect people's views and understand their anger in the wake of such a big terror attack in the country. Meanwhile, BJP leader Arun Jaitley said that BJP does not subscribe to Naqvi's personal views. Another BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Ruddy has condemned Naqvi's remarks.

Hopeless....are we so unfortunate to have this kind of leader(poor basic instinct)? When country is facing crucial moments of sentiments for departed martyrs, this stupid fellow showing his dirty mental thoughts of frustration.
Dear Mr. Abbas Naqvi,
I would like to contradict you and accuse you for talking like that.
Please dont forget that you are living in a country which is ruled by the xionists and their watch dogs like CNN IBN, NDTV,etc.,
I dare to challenge whoever says that your quotes are wrong.
These "lipstick and power girls" always care about their make-up and pack-up, but one question I was to shoot striaght away.....are these people who are conducting candle vigils have ever participated in voting?
2. Do they know the name of their state/central ministers?
3. Do they know how the country is doing?
4. Do they read more than 2 Newspapers for more information?
They simply want to show themselves that they care for people so much by wearing white dress and black goggles, coming on to streets and lighting candles.
How many of them are paying taxes properly?
There are Hindus, Muslims and christians in the group. Why dont they offer prayers at their sacred places? why only on streets?
I was to clarify you Mr. Naqvi that they dont even know whom to question for the terror attacks. Instead they always prey on BJP or some Muslims.
These proto-type westerns have to leave the country.
I salute you for using straight and harsh words to show who these fools are. I request you not even regret on what is coming on the TV or newspapers. We, hindus and Muslims are behind you. Dont even care about these potty mouth media.
We are behind you.
Jai Hind.
Kalki
This shows that the politicians are staring to feel the power among the general public in a democracy..
he is nothing but a retard Faggot!!!
Idiot-Naqvi move ur ass n do something for the country rather then talking about lipstick-powder..Retard!!!
Politicians just know one word and that is there "Kursi" or satha. They will never understand the feeling of a common man. If they will send these message to us then they will be making shame of our democratic system and our rights. You people don't have any right to ask us for our votes. You only deserve our hatred.
A political statement like this is not only shameful but shows the disrespect towards the nation too.
Some people do not care and feel the pain of others until such thing happens with their family and some of our politicians are one of them.
I question as what wrong these people are doing but showing their anger against such an impotent government that could not stop terror spreading its legs in the country even...
What wrong are they doing by lighting candles in their hands and showing the country that we are one family in this tough time, come what may?
You can only see the "lipstick and powder" in protestors but can't feel the pain and anger against such stupid politicians and dilapidated government, in their eyes.
These are the people who have lost valuable citizens of the nation. some who could not survive because of terrorists and some who scarified their life for the sake of the country but you fool politicians won't understand these feelings.
They might not know that who the minister of their state is, but know who the martyr was, scarified his life for the nation because of the laziness of these kinds of politicians.
We are one family as a nation and with each other in any tough time. We are the family member of this country, this country is our home and prayer can be offered in anywhere in home, there should no question arise of offering prayers at our respective sacred places or somewhere else.
Enough is enough now …No politics in the name of sympathy, No Hindu No Muslim, we are one democratic nation...Please don’t discriminate us and I specially am not with you, for your statement Mr. Abbas Naqui..You better get out of the kitchen if you can’t tolerate the heat...
Well, it seems that I was the only person who posted comments in favour of Mr. Naqvi.
People and pupil, think twice.
Is there anything wrong in Mr. Naqvi's comments? If he is wrong, then there is no need for TATA Tea to launch a "jaago re" site to wake up so called posh, westernised people, who always hate politicians and dont even care to vote.
Do they have any right to criticize politicians like Mr. Naqvi?
He is the right politician. He may be furious because of blame throughing tricks played by congress. But he is clear in his Idea.
Those women/girls, who come to streets with all make-up and pack-up, dont even care to stand in a que for 10 mins and cast their vote. But when someone sacrifices life for the country they come to streets and start abusing politicians.
Do they have right to accuse the politicians like Mr. Naqvi? why dont they accuse sheela diksit for ignoring the security of people even after attack and attack and attack.
Oh! I forgot, even she was accused for making similar comments.
I would like to bring it to your notice. Mrs. Sheela Diksit asked women working in corporate sectors to leave the office early and if they have to stay for late hours, get anyone accompying them. She was right. But there are huge outcry for stopping the woman and they started saying that woman rights are being denied.
Is it the woman's right to room at night in so insecured world. Well, even men are afraid of venturing outside at mid-night, and these P3P, party gores always travel in night.
Its not Sheela or Naqvi who are wrong. Its the western culture seeking jokers who are making this outcrys.
Lousy ignorant chauvinistic pig, belonging to an equally bigoted, divisive, no-agenda-but-oppose political party.
Both of them need to be dumped, forever.
And leaders of this type, by their sexist remarks, also reveal what they really are, and what they think of women - subservient, sex providers, and second class.
And yes, Hai hai politicians. And if the attacks on Bombay are ever repeated again, we hope it is on parliament house this time, and successful.
So you people realise what grief and anger really mean.
just stop ur nonsense mr.naqvi.Why are you commenting this kind of thing which are toatally meaningless and ilogical.Do you even know what are you speaking about.
Why "pakistan murdabad"?If the system is not well inside our own country why to blame always other.
U only fight for ur votes with other parties and nothing else.
U all politicians are just hopeless.
Shame on you naqvi!!! With or without lipstick, in salwar kameez or in jeans we have the right to say what we want. And people this is the time to stand united against these cheap perverts. For even one second did he tried to think why are people so angry??? what made them so angry??
And what does he think by saying pakistan murdabad or terrorist murdabad, the so called fight against terror will be over. And why blame anyone else where our own politicians are backstabbing us. It is too much, to ask common people alone to fight terrorism and what are these babus sitting for???? Just money!!! arent they the ones who should be doing this work?
SO naqvi, I am a citizen of democratic India and a taxpayer, it is my right to know where my money is going. For just once come to mumbai (without your security) and try to live in the city, you will see how scared we are.
Amidst all this NOT EVEN ONE politician, had the guts to apologise and try to hear out peoples agony, everyone was simply busy to policitize the issue.
i m agree with nakvi ji
Next.....Today more than 1lac citizen of India in mumbai protest against terrorism is the answer of mr.Naqvi's answer below:-
"Naqvi. "There is a clear attempt to divide the country and break the trust of people in India's democratic fabrics. That's why such protests against politicians are taking place. These women are following western values, and lighting candles while condemning the politicians", he further added"
