Priya Dutt takes on Manyata, accuses her of manipulating Sanjay Dutt

Breaking News! Member of Parliament and Bollywood Actor Sanjay Dutt's sister Priya Dutt has lashed out at Manyata, by accusing her of "manipulating" Sanjay Dutt. Speaking to the leading national daily, The Hindustan Times, Priya said, "I am thankful my dad (Sunil Dutt) is no longer alive to see this ignominy of Sanjay contesting on a Samajwadi Party ticket".

Priya Dutt said she was shocked when Amar Singh announced the candidature of Sanjay Dutt from Lucknow seat. According to her, Sanjay never consulted sisters Priya and Namrata while taking this unprecedented decision. Priya Dutt was infuriated when Amar Singh announced that Manyata will contest from Lucknow if Sanjay can't for some reasons.

Priya Dutt accused Manyata of manipulating Sanjay Dutt to fulfil her own ambitions. "Sanjay is far too busy with films to find the time for politics. He has all along insisted he has no plans to enter politics yet, but every time he would issue a statement to that effect, Manyata would counter it by saying, ‘No, Sanjay will contest’," said Priya Dutt to HT.
