Sri Lankan Army enters LTTE Headquarters in Kilinochchi

Breaking News! In a major assault against the LTTE, which is in the decisive stage now, the Sri Lankan Army has entered the LTTE headquarters in Kilinochchi, which is known as the de facto capital of the rebel group for decades. The Sri lankan Army is all set to capture Kilinochchi. The fall of Kilinochchi is considered as a major blow to the LTTE.

According to sources, LTTE Chief Prabhakaran is hiding somewhere in Kilinochchi. At least 50 LTTE guerrillas were killed and over 100 injured in the onslaught launched by the Sri Lankan Army in Kilinochchi. The troops are inside the town and intense battle is going on between the armed forces and LTTE rebels.

The 25-year-long struggle of LTTE against the Sri Lankan government may finally come to an end, as the Army seems to hold a clear upper hand against the rebels in key locations. Two key LTTE bastions of Iranamadu junction and Paranthan twon have been captured by the army and they are in complete control now.
