ACT Television launches IPTV Service in Bangalore

Bangalore (24/7 News Network): In a significant development, the ACT Television has launched its first IPTV (Interactive TV) services in Bangalore. The IPTV service will be launched in some other cities in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh in future, said ACT Television.

The IPTV service offers television broadcasting, high-speed Internet connection and uninterrupted telephony services. The ACT Television also offers Internet videos, online TV channels, movies on demand in its IPTV service.

ACT Television has tied up with MRO-TEK, Scopus, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Oracle and YouTube to provide various applications to its IPTV customers. In addition, India Value Fund Advisors (IVFA) has invested $100 million in this new venture.

The IPTV set top box from ACT Television is priced at Rs. 4,999. There will be additional Rs. 300 towards cable charges and Rs. 350 per month for unlimited Internet access.
