Rehman Malik: 26/11 Conspiracy hatched in 6 Countries

Islamabad (24/7 News Network): Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik, who admitted earlier that part of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks conspiracy was hatched in Pakistan, also said that the entire conspiracy was hatched in six countries including India and Pakistan.

According to Rehman Malik, the terrorists used a wide network in six countries - Austria, Spain, Italy, the USA, Pakistan and India. Mr. Malik admitted that LeT commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi trained the terrorists, but the mastermind was somebody else.

According to Mr. Malik, the SIM cards used in Mumbai terror attacks, were brought from Austria. The money was paid in Italy and a person called Javed Iqbal was arrested in Spain. He is said to have coordinated with the attackers.

The terrorists and their patrons paid US $ 238 to acquire a "domain name" used for communication over the Internet (VoIP). That money was paid from a company in Islamabad. The owner of the company was arrested.

Mr. Rehman Malik also raised some questions before India. He asked why the boats used by terrorists were not stopped near Gujarat shore. He also wondered who helped the terrorists to fill diesel. Rehman Malik said it was hard to believe that the Indian Navy failed to intercept the boat that carried terrorists.

Rehman Malik also raised questions on the commando operations at Nariman House and Hotel Taj and asked how the Jews were killed in Nariman House. Pakistan also wanted to know how the terrorists got so many Indian SIM cards and weapons.

Mr. Rehman Malik said that India need to provide answer to these questions so that the investigation into the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, reach its logical conclusion.
