2nd Star News-Nielsen Opinion Poll predicts close finish for UPA and NDA
24/7 News Network: Breaking News! The second and final opinion poll conducted by Star News and Nielsen has predicted a close finish for the UPA and NDA. It has given 203 seats to UPA and 191 seats to NDA. Third Front may win 104 seats, while the new front of Lalu-Mulayam-Paswan may win 39 seats. In its first opinion poll on March 22, the Star News-Nielsen had predicted a clear victory for the UPA with 257 seats as compared to NDA's 184 seats. If the trend continues like this, the NDA may go well ahead of the UPA when the final phase of elections ends on May 13.According to Star News-Nielsen opinion poll, Congress will emerge as the single largest party with 155 seats, while the BJP won't be far behind with 147 seats. The opinion poll has given 35 seats to Left parties, 28 seats to Samajwadi Party, 26 to Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and 22 to JD(U).
However, there may be some drastic changes in the prediction for Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan. If that happens, BJP may emerge as the single largest party, while the Congress may lose a few seats in the above states.
Surprisingly, the opinion poll has given 25 out of 39 seats to DMK-led UPA in Tamil Nadu. However, the poll analysts have denounced this, saying Jayalalithaa's AIADMK and its allies MDMK, PMK and Left will win at least 30 seats in the state. That may change the equation for both Congress and UPA in particular.
In Rajasthan, the opinion poll has predicted 15 seats for the Congress and 10 for BJP. However, the situation may change, as prominent Gujjar leader Kirori Lal Meena has joined the BJP today. He may cause a huge impact in Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi and parts of Uttar Pradesh.
In addition, the issue Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar may change the poll game in Punjab and Delhi. With the first phase of general elections is yet to begin, the battle will be very interesting and there will be sea changes in Indian politics over the next one month and it may continued after that also.

The opinion poll is vry much biased so far s seats of lefts are concerned. CPM would get more than 14 seats . How TMc would get 13 seats . Next to impossible. third front will emerge as winner. Sonia and Rahul are making a fantasy. How soniajee can feel the sordid afffairs of rural people.Does she aware of plight of unorganised workers? Daily income of 70% people is below Rs 20/ and still Soniajee singing Joy Ho? People will give a solid reply in the EVM. BJP has already lost the battle. Cong is a betrayer. How they can proceed with nuclear deal knowing well that left has ideological difference with USA did not they betrayed left. Manmohanjee is a Puppet in the hands of Sonia. Every man who has a self respect must denounce the style of Sonia's functioning. It is unfortunate that a country of 110 crore people we are still dictated by an outsider who has no root in india. May be Sonia is an indian citizen and our beloved Bahu but she is a masmatch in our socio econimic system. Congrats I think this is a good and close opinion poll,only differ possible is that BJP & Cong may loose 5 seats each than what is predicted in the poll.And BSP may get 34 seats as compared to 26 given in opinion poll.
But what main thing i guess is any govt formed after the election will not last more than 18 months.

UPA would come to the power , as the people typing on internet would vote 30% and farmers and porrs vote 90%. so its clear UPA done deal..

prediction is gud , but in south India situation is different from last Elections.
This Time UPA get less seats in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. So this may plus point to BJP and NDA.
The opinion poll is biased,there should be 20 more seats for BJP and 20 less seats for congress . BJP can get around 165-170 and congress can not get more than 125 .
People are fed up with UPA,BJP will get upto 185 seats this time and NDA will cross 272 barrier.
