FIR registered against Lalu Yadav for threatening to crush Varun Gandhi under Roller

An FIR has been lodged against RJD chief and Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav for his provocative speech against Varun Gandhi at an election rally in Kishanganj. While addressing a Muslim gathering in Kisanganj, Lalu had threatened to crush Varun Gandhi under a roller for his alleged communal speeches. Lalu tried to woo the minority voters by his provocative speech, but he forgot the decorum expected from a politician and Union Minister of his stature.

"Had I been the country’s Home Minister, I would have run a roller on Varun Gandhi's chest and destroyed him without caring for the consequences for his hate speech against our brothers (Muslims)", said Lalu Yadav yesterday.

Lalu later retracted from his stand against Varun, saying his statement was meant for the communal forces. However, it was too late. Lalu Yadav was campaigning for Union Minister Taslimuddin, who is contesting from Kishanganj According to latest reports, an arrest warrant has been issued against Lalu Yadav by Kishanganj DM.

Earlier, Lalu's wife and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi was under fire for using abusing language against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. The EC has alredy sought the video tape from the DM and action may be taken against Rabri Devi very soon.

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President, D Srinivas, also did a Lalu Yadav at an election meeting at Nizamabad. "I will sever hands of those who point a finger at minorities", said D Srinivas. The BJP has already filed an official complaint against Srinivas before the Election Commission.
