MS Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh skip Padma Awards Function
24/7 News Network: Breaking News! In a shocking development, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and ace spinner Harbhjan Singh skipped the Padma Awards function at the Rashtrapati Bhavan yesterday. Dhoni and Harbhajan were supposed to receive the Padma Shri awards. According to reports in a section of media, they were busy in shooting Ads. Veteran sportspersons like Aslam Sher Khan has criticised Dhoni and Harbhajan for "disregarding" the dignity of Padma Awards.The first batch of awardees were presented with the Padma Awards on March 31. The final batch of awardees included MS Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh. They neither turned up for the event nor informed anyone about their unavailability.
It is not immediately known why they preferred to skip the Padma Awards, which is being given by none other than the President of India at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. They haven't yet issued any statement to explain the absence.

Yes, its absolutely unacceptable these cricketers are blinded by the money they earn they have lost all shame and moral values...disgusting, shame on them both...they should not be allowed to get away with this there must be some penalty for insulting the awards and dignity of the country...
yes i agree with u all these cricketers think they are above the country.no respect for the system. first they move IPL to SA while whole country is eagerly waiting to see who the next PM will be. cricketers will be irresponsible and playing. the padma award should be taken away from them and should pay penalty for disrespect to the country.
I think they are not fit for this award and they should not be given this award people should teach them a good lesson

Such a disgrace.... they think they are bigger than the award itself.... they should be taught a lesson... they should not get away easily with this... even an ardent cricket fan cannot tolerate this... afterall, nation's pride comes before anything else... i am shocked and disappointed... they dont deserve any respect from me anymore...
they know us from cricket, so they should went for Awards, and thats Disrespect to INDIA.....thats y i like Tendulkar
