Kapil Sibal gets HRD, Raja gets Communications & IT, Moily is Law Minister

24/7 News Network: Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh announced the portfolios for all his 78 Ministers. Kapil Sibal will be the new Human Resources & Development Minister, while Veerappa Moily will be the new Law Minister. In a surprising development, controversial Minister A Raja retained the Communications & IT portfolio, even though the PM was not so keen in giving him that portfolio after the 3G Spectrum Row.

Kamal Nath was given the Road Transport & Highways Ministry, while Murli Deora will continue to be the Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas. S Jaipal Reddy will be the Urban Development Minister. MK Azhagiri got the Chemicals and Fertilisers portfolio, while Textiles went to Dayanidhi Maran.

Ambika Soni will be the new Information & Broadcasting Minister, while Pawan Kumar Bansal will hold the Parliamentary Affairs portfolio. Ghulam Nabi Azad got the Health & Family Welfare portfolio. Anand Sharma was handed over the key portfolio - Commerce & Industry.
