Sikhs in Jammu hold protest against Pakistani Taliban
24/7 News Network: Thousands of Sikhs have gathered in Jammu to protest against the treatment meted out to Hindus and Sikhs in Taliban-controlled areas in Pakistan. they burnt effigies of the Taliban, Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani. The protesters blocked the Jammu-Panthankote National Highway for several hours.
Protests were held in Jammu, Nanknagar, Tallab Tilloo, Poonch and Udhampur. The protesters alleged that Pakistan government is ignoring the plight of Pakistani Sikhs and Hindus and has turned a blind eye to the genocide in Aurakzai Agency area. They urged the international community to intervene to stop the atrocities on the Sikhs and Hindus in Pakistan.
The Taliban not only demanded "jijya" or "religion tax" from the minorities, they also destroyed their houses. Sikhs were attacked at several places in Buner, Swat and Aurakzai Agency during the fight between the Pakistani Army and Taliban. Thousands of Sikhs have fled to other areas in Pakistan.
While the Pakistan government has rubbished the reports of atrocities against the minorities and termed the issue as its internal matter, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is said to have talked to his Pakistani counterpart to discuss over this matter.

The pakistani army is an indisciplined institution, providing infiltrating terrorists(taliban,LET,JEM,etc)with covering fire, the state just has a constitution with a secular clauses, but the blasphemy law is mostly practised there, which calls for the looting of hindu temples,houses, forced conversion to Islam,asking for double the tax to the hindu and sikh buisinessmen, venom against hinduism and bharat in their history textbooks, taught to the children in schools, so the protests are not sufficient, the honourable indian government must negotiate the plight of hindus and sikhs in pakistan to their government, as Dr. Manmohan Singh already did.
INDIA SHOULD OCCUPY PUNJAB AND DECLARE KALISTAN LIKE BANGLADESH. ALL PAKISTANI SIKHS WILL HAVE A HOME LAND... OR SEND ALL INDIAN MUSLIMS TO PAKISTAN AND EXCHANGE ALL SIKHS AND HINDUS TO INDIA. SIKHS ARE GOOD PEOPLE MUSLIMS ARE SICK PEOPLE....
