Dhoni says SORRY; Indian Fans not Forgiving

London: After the humiliating and painful exit from the ICC Twenty20 World Cup, Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, apologised to the Indian fans and promised to bounce back. However, fans not forgiving him for his mistakes, which cost India badly in this high profile tournament. Dhoni, who had shot into fame, by leading India to victory in the inaugural ICC Twenty20 World Cup in 2007, has become a villain overnight for millions of people.

Although Dhoni was gracious in apologising to the nation, he did not admit his visible mistakes. He not only defended his decision to change the batting order frequently, but also blamed the batsmen for the defeat.

Dhoni's boys could beat just Bangladesh and Ireland in this tournament, while they lost to West Indies and England to crash out of the World Cup. Nothing could be more painful for the defending champions than crashing out at the Super 8 stage.

Dhoni also admitted his batting failure throughout the tournament and said nothing worked well for Team India. He also missed Sehwag, who could not play a single match in the World Cup due to injury. "India is an emotional country. We are more disappointed than our fans", said Dhoni.

India will play their final Super 8 match against the mighty South Africa, which is considered the strong contender to win the ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2009. This match remains a mere formality, as India has already crashed out of the tournament.
