PM Dr. Manmohan Singh vows Zero Tolerance towards Terorrism

New Delhi: Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, while replying to President Pratibha Patil's address in the Parliament, has vowed to show zero tolerance towards terrorism. He also said the country has made a new beginning by giving a thumping mandate for stability and change. He also promised to bring significant changes to social and economic sectors with new development programmes.

Dr. Manmohan Singh assured the House that his government will initiate new programmes for employment, education and health. He also quoted the dream of Father of Nation Mahtama Gandhi to eradicate poverty and allow people live with dignity and self-respect. Dr. Singh also stressed on the need to root out corruption from the society.

The Prime Minister urged all political parties to maintain the spirit of bipartisan, while dealing with the national issues. He also expressed confidence that India could achieve 8-9 percent economic growth despite the global slowdown and economic recession.
