Congress MP Pradeep Majhi leads Young MPs in asking Questions in Lok Sabha
New Delhi: According to a report published in "The Indian Express", only a few young MPs have taken initiatives in asking questions in the Lok Sabha. And, Congress MP from Nabarangpur Parliamentary Constituency in Orissa, Pradeep Kumar Majhi has led the pack in asking most number of questions so far. Pradeep Majhi has asked 25 un-starred and two starred questions so far. Out of the 26 young MPs in the age group of 25-35 years, only eight have been regular in asking questions, while the remaining 18 have not opened their mouth yet. While Pradeep is the Numero Uno, BJP MP Anurag Singh Thakur (Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh) and BJD MP Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo (Balangir, Orissa) are on joint second spot.
BSP MP Ashok Kumar Rawat (Misrikh, Uttar Pradesh), Congress MP Milind Deora (Mumbai-South) and BJP MP Varun Gandhi (Pilibhit) are also among the regular MPs, who ask questions in Lok Sabha. It's a proud moment for Orissa, as both No. 1 and No. 2 positions went to the state.
The 33-year-old Pradeep Majhi has been very regular in asking questions in Lok Sabha. Prominent among the questions asked by him were about the contract for upgrading AN-32 Aircraft, development of small and medium enterprises and many others.
Recently, Minister of State for the Ministry of Environment and Forests( Independent charge) Shri Jairam Ramesh replied to one of the questions asked by Mr. Pradeep Kumar Majhi and said that the government proposes to create a voluntary national youth corps to take up river cleaning and beautification programme in the country.
Certainly, while many other MPs being silent in the House, it's a defining moment that a young, qualified and tribal MP Pradeep Majhi, has taken this initiative of asking most number of questions in Lok Sabha and all his questions were relevant to the growth and development of this country.
In another development, Pradeep Majhi was the first MP to raise questions about the twin explosions in two explosive manufacturing factories in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh on July 5. He had personally visited the blast sites and raised the issue in the Zero Hour a few days ago.
All other MPs should take a cue from him and other young MPs, who have been frequently asking questions in Lok Sabha.

Pradeep, you not only made Orissa proud, but also the younger generation can look at you as a role model.
Its good that some are seriously taking their jobs in parliament than just taking up their fathers seats...and finally varun gandhi is doing something of importance..it will go a long way in improving his image..
