Delhi High Court rules Gay Sex Legal; Gay Activists celebrate
New Delhi: In a historic judgement, the Delhi High Court has termed the "gay sex" or "homosexuality" as legal and sought to strike down the colonial-era law, which termed those as illegal and criminal activities. Thousands of gay activists formed a rainbow colour to celebrate the historic judgement, which will restore the respect and dignity of homosexuals in the society.The Gay Pride victory march was expected, once the judgement was pronounced by a bench comprising of Chief Justice Ajit Prakash Shah and Justice S. Muralidhar. The judges sought amendment to the Section 377 of the IPC (Indian Penal Code), which criminalises homosexuality and gay sex.
The court observed that if the Section 377 is not amended, it will violate the Article 21 of the Indian Constitution, which states that every Indian citizen has equal right to live. The judgement makes sure that the police won't interfere in incidents related to homosexuality, if they are consensual.

India's future is dark
I appreciate the stand of the honourable high court to allow freedom to every adult individual to have consensual relationship but this has moral & social aspects as well.
If this verdict allows consensual intercourse between two adults as their human right,then even such act between unmarried couples,married having extra marital affairs & prostitution might seek favourable judgements in future.Can any legal authority clarify such fine lines of this verdict for the proper understanding of common public?Ofcourse according to nature homosexuality is absurd though civilised mankind gives liberty these days for such relations but its a sick choice & such tendancies should undergo psychological councelling before these gays or lesbians get in to a legal marriage.Please donot misunderstand that I consider homo as insane but this issue can be addressed by scientific & rational means.I wonder how a homosexual define sexual perversion???
I thank Indian govt. for taking a thoughtful action... still its not a favour thts our right which we were abondoned till now.. thanx rahul to appreciate it ...
But i pity on ur knowledge... gay sex is nowhere psychological desease... neither physical...it has been found in 500 spicies in world... its genetic as it is in straight people...this has been medically proved by WHO.
Anywyas ...we(gays) are happy to have 'by-law freedom' ... Its truly independance day for GAYS...
