India and South Africa placed in same group for ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2010

Dubai: The draw for the 2010 ICC Twenty20 World Cup, has been drawn at the ICC meeting yesterday. India and South Africa are clubbed together in the same group, while Zimbabwe has been recalled to play the Twenty20 World Cup. There will be 10 test playing nations and 2 qualifiers in the tournament, which will be hosted by West Indies. India, along with South Africa and a qualifier, is placed in Group C. The Women's Twenty20 World Cup will be played simultaneously.

The 2009 ICC Twenty20 World Cup will begin on April 30, 2010. The tournament will be played over 17 days. The semifinals will be held on May 13 and 14, while the final will be held on May 16. The matches will be played at Barbados, Guyana, St Kitts, and St Lucia. The Final will be held at the Kensington Oval.

ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2010 (MEN):

Group A: Pakistan, Australia, Bangladesh
Group B: Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Zimbabwe
Group C: India, South Africa, Qualifier
Group D: West Indies, England, Qualifier

ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2010 (WOMEN):

Group A: Australia, England, West Indies, South Africa
Group B: India, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Pakistan
