India Today: ICC mulls four-day Test Matches

New Delhi: According to India Today, which interviewed ICC Chief David Morgan, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is planning to reduce the duration of the test matches to four instead of five days. The makeover plan is under consideration and a final decision will be taken soon in this regard, said David Morgan. After the success of Twenty20 cricket, ICC believes that the cricket matches should not be longer and boring and should be able to pull crowds.

ICC seems determined in changing the format of the longer version of the game. "I would be very surprised if within a year you haven’t seen some significant changes in Test match cricket", said Morgan.
