Study: Shared Computers are Breeding Place for Germs and Bacteria
New Delhi: According to a study published on the American Journal of Infection Control, the shared computers in the office or at an Internet Cafe, will serve as a breeding ground for germs and bacteria. People, who work for long on computers, are very prone to illness, the study revealed. According to the study, the shared keyboards may contains five times the number of microorganisms as those used by one.The study report was compiled by several authors. Lead Author Enzo Palombo said that Internet Cafes, Computer Labs and Offices are the hot spots for harbouring these germs and bacteria.
The researchers made a comprehensive study on computers, keyboards and the people, who used them on a sharing basis. They reached the conclusion that frequent use of sharing computers, may lead to serious infections on the body. Since computers are not routinely disinfected, they usually transmit the diseases, the study said.

so what is the solution to avoid?
i think the best way to avoid this is for every user to use hand sanitizers before and after using the computer. better yet, hand sanitizers should be readily available right beside the keyboard where it is compulsory for them to use before even touching the computers
